Year One preview / Year One Super Bowl 43 (XLIII) preview

The preview of Jack Black's "Year One" is set the premiere after Super Bowl XLIII and it promises to be another comedy hit. If it's a Jack Black movie it must hilarious! That seems to be the consensus in the forums now that the word is out that the preview of "Year One" will premiere after Super Bowl 43 two days from now. To be shown at Crackle, the sneak peek also contains an exclusive introduction by director Harold Ramis.

According to various online movie sources, "Year One" is about two lazy hunter-gatherers in a Biblical civilization. Banished from their village, they set out on a journey that will lead to to amazing and hilarious
discoveries and misadventures. In a recent interview, Jack Black stated that "Year One" will be about two men running around in Moses' time. He added that the movie is similar to Monty Python's "Life of Brian. People expecting a movie along the lines of Ghostbusters or Knocked Up may be disappointed as 'Year One" is more along the line of Monty Python movies.

Aside from Jack Black, the movie also stars Michael Cera as the other lazy hunter-gatherer together with a supporting cast that includes Olivia Wilde, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Oliver Platt, Hank Azaria and many others. The movie is set to open in June. Expect more previews to come out between Super Bowl 43 and "Year One's" premiere. Once a copy is available for online distribution, you will find one here.

Nasty Nestor Aparicio: Keith attacked by Nasty Nestor Aparicio

Nasty Nestor Aparicio strikes again! Nasty Nestor is currently under investigation by the NFL and the Tampa Bay Police Department for assault on Dallas Area radio host Gordon Kieth at the Superbowl media center in Tampa Bay, Florida. According to reports, during the Radio Row at Super Bowl 43 in Tampa this morning, controversial Blatimore radio host Nasty Nestor Aparicio attacked Gordon Keith live on air, the latest conflict between the two feuding personalities.

Accounts of what actually happened are now all over the web through news reports and blogs, and this is, according to them is how it happened.
Gordon Keith, radio host on the three-time Marconi-nominated morning drive show "The Ticket", went over to Nasty Nestor Arapicio with a wireless microphone in an attempt to bury the hatchet and stop the long-running feud between the two. However, instead of accepting the gesture of The Ticket, Nasty Nestor became angry and grabbed Gordon Keith around the throat and attempted to strangle him. The struggle between the two lasted for some time until they were eventually separated and the police was called in. All of this, mind you, happened live on air.

After the altercation, it is reported that Gordon Keith's health and well-being is cause for concern, and his camp is contemplating on filing charges against Nestor Aparicio.

Nasty Nestor is no stranger to controversy. He is the acknowledged engineer of the 2006 "Free the Birds" Baltimore Orioles walkout where he organized and led a protest by Orioles fans against the ownership and management of the baseball team by Peter Angelos. As a result, he was denied media credentials for the Orioles' 2007 home opener - the first time in his 23 year career that he was ever denied a requested media credential for a sporting event.

Lil Wayne song leaks: Lil Wayne Rock Star, Troublemaker leaked

A deluge of Lil Wayne songs have hit the internet in the past few days. The first one to come out was Lil Wayne's "Prom Queen" which hit the web last January 27 despite earlier announcements that it will officially be released on that date. Then, two days after the leak of "Prom Queen" come Lil Wayne's "Hot Revolver" and "Troublemaker". If you think that was the end of it, you're wrong. A day later, the next song to be leaked was Lil Wayne's "Rock Star" - a music collaboration between Lil Wayne and Juelz Santana which is claimed to be one of the songs in their duet LP 'I Can't Feel My Face'. Though there yet no official word if this will really be included in that album, that is the assumption.

Though there is no official word yet on the reasons or causes of these leaks, I have my doubts if all of them were leaks at all. There have been a lot of internet music "leaks" in the past but may were skeptical about their authenticity. Producers and artists may have engineered these "leaks" themselves to drum up more interest for their products thus increasing the sales potential as well. Lil Wayne's case is no different.

Jennifer Aniston on Playboy: Jennifer Aniston n-u-d-e on Playboy?

Have you heard about the Jennifer Aniston n-u-d-e Playboy rumors? That dear old Jennifer Aniston will be posing n-u-d-e for Playboy? The rumor has been going around for weeks ever since she came out with those sexy and daring shots for GQ magazine a few weeks back. They were instant hits and I have no doubt the magazine sold a lot more than they normally do with that issue. Moreover, internet buzz about those pics went on for quite some time - understandable since dear old Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) is one of the sexiest stars we have today.

But what about these Jennifer Aniston posing for Playboy rumors? Everybody seems to be interested in seeing more of her than what she showed us in GQ. Well, according to the latest reports, that won't happen, at least in the very near future. According the latest web buzz, Jennifer Aniston has turned down an offer to pose n-u-d-e for the magazine though she's been offered a $4 million compensation. Yup, four million and she still turned it down. Not everybody's for sale, I guess. More than that, reports have it that Playboy boss Hugh Hefner also offered her a bonus for sales that will earn her up to $10 million. Wow! Here's more about this from Aceshowbiz:

According to The National Enquirer, which broke the news, Hefner approached Aniston after he saw her nude pics on GQ magazine's January 2009 issue, in which she wore nothing but an appropriately placed necktie. "This looks like the cover of Playboy," Hefner reportedly said of Aniston's GQ pics. "I'm much impressed by Jennifer. Is it just me or is Jennifer Aniston getting hotter? ... Never seen her in this light before."

It looks like Jennifer Aniston has no intention of baring more that what she did in GQ. Good for her. Besides, she doesn't need the money, and a move like that will definitely drastically change her image.

Supernatural season 4 episode 13 / Supernatural 4.13 (s04e13)

Is Michelle Obama pregnant? Is she the first pregnant First Lady we have seen in a long, long time? Michelle Obama pregnancy rumors started during the campaign with observers claiming inside sources that the then presidential hopeful's wife was on the family way. After a few days of circulation, the rumor died down. It was only resurrected recently courtesy of gossip blogger Perez Hilton who justified his speculation with his usual captioned photos showing the First Lady with a (hardly) noticeable baby bump. News wires and other blogs picked it up and the rest is history.

But what if Michelle Obama is really pregnant? Or what if she becomes pregnant while Barack Obama is in office. Well, I am sure the Obama won't keep it a secret if that happens. Nothing wrong with being pregnant so why hide it? Besides, in the interest of public disclosure, I don't think the President and the First Lady can keep it a secret.

The fascination with Michelle Obama's pregnancy is understandable. This, after all, is the presidential couple who has ignited so much interest and following especially in the weeks leading to the inauguration. Moreover, there hasn't been a pregnancy in the White House for a long, long time. Laura Bush? Hillary Clinton? Barbara Bush, argh!? The list goes on. (Image courtesy of Flickr)

Have you heard about the Bacon Explosion? A bacon what, you might ask. A bacon explosion - a torpedo like concoction of made of woven bacon and Italian sausage barbecued in a bath of barbecue sauce and barbecue rub. Sounds delicious? Sounds deadly to me. The mere thought of all that cholesterol and fat is enough to make me wince. He he. However, many people have definitely found it appetizing as searches for the bacon explosion recipe have flooded the web recently.

The Bacon Explosion was apparently born just before Christmas, as a gimmick by two barbecue enthusiasts to attract more visitors to their website.
The made an over-the-top log of meat, fat and cholesterol, barbecued it and posted their cooking adventure on their site. it worked! Since then, it has been picked up the different blogs and news websites and the fascination for the Bacon Explosion grew to what it is today. This recipe is the Bacon Explosion, modestly called by its inventors "the BBQ Sausage Recipe of all Recipes." The instructions for constructing this massive torpedo-shaped amalgamation of two pounds of bacon woven through and around two pounds of sausage and slathered in barbecue sauce first appeared last month on the Web site of a team of Kansas City competition barbecuers. They say a diverse collection of well over 16,000 Web sites have linked to the recipe, celebrating, or sometimes scolding, its excessiveness. A fresh audience could be ready to discover it on Super Bowl Sunday.

Where once homegrown recipes were disseminated in Ann Landers columns or Junior League cookbooks, new media have changed -- and greatly accelerated -- the path to popularity. Few recipes have cruised down this path as fast or as far as the Bacon Explosion, and this turns out to be no accident. One of its inventors works as an Internet marketer, and had a sophisticated understanding of how the latest tools of promotion could be applied to a four-pound roll of pork.

Kelly Clarkson video: My Life Would Suck Without You video

Kelly Clarkson has just released a new video and it's hot! "My Life Would Suck Without You", Kelly Clarkson's first single from the soon-to-be-released studio album entitled "All I Ever Wanted", is climbing the search charts on the web after it debuted during the American Idol auditions. The video revolves around the plot the a lovers' quarrel, temporary break up and subsequent reconciliation after the girl realizes that she cannot live with her boyfriend. This is interspersed with clips showing the former American Idol winner singing the new song.

"My Life Would Suck Without You" was released on the first half of this month, initially to radio stations and digitally thereafter. It was an instant hit, landing on number 97 on the Billboard Hot 100 and then jumping to number 1 from there. As such, "My Life Would Suck Without You" established a new record for the biggest leap to number 1, erasing the relatively new record established by Britney Spears' "Womanizer" a few weeks ago. This just shows the strength of support for the new Kelly Clarkson song. "My Life Would Suck Without You" is also the second number one single for Kelly Clarkson after the success of her American Idol victory song "A Moment Like This".

Bruce Springsteen "Kingdom of Days" / Kingdom of Days video

In support of his recently-released studio album, "Working on a Dream", superstar Bruce Springsteen has released the music video of "Kingdom of Days". In the said video, Springsteen can be seen singing the new song in the recoding studio. On another note, it's too bad Bruce Springsteen was snubbed the the Oscars. His song for the movie, The Wrestler, is not included in the Best Original Song category despite winning the 2009 Golden Globe Award in the same category. It would have been such an honor for the rock superstar to at least receive an Oscar nomination. And a win would have been much better, to go along with his previous Oscar triumph for the theme song for "Philadelphia"
in 1993. Oh well, you can't win 'em all. At least, he has 18 Grammys to be proud of.

In other Bruce Springsteen news, it has been reported that he will have a world tour with The E Street Band which will kick off on April 1, 2009 in San Jose, California. But before that, he is set to perform at halftime during Super Bowl XLIII on February 1, 2009 in Tampa, Florida. Wow! The story was originally reported August 11, 2008, in the New York Post, and confirmed on September 28 during halftime of the Sunday Night Football telecast on NBC between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Chicago Bears.

2009 Grammy nominations / 2009 Grammy Awards nominees

The 2009 awards season in Hollywood is in its final weeks. The Golden Globes have been handed out a few weeks ago, the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards were given just last weekend and the biggest prize of them all, the Oscars, will be handed out three weeks from now. However, not all awards will be given to the achievers in the film industry. Due to give out their highest honors for the recording / music industry is the 2009 Grammy Awards next weekend. Everybody must have forgotten about that with all the frenzy and hype the film awards have been getting. The Grammy, along the the Oscar for film, the Emmy for television and the Tony for stage, have all been looked up to as the most
prestigious and sought after distinction in their respective fields. And its about time to remind everybody that the 2009 Grammys will be coming next weekend.

David Cook tour schedule / David Cook spring tour schedule

Just as the new season of America Idol is going full blast on TV, season 7 winner David Cook has announced the full dates of his college spring tour schedule set to start on February 13, the day before Valentines Day, at the Florida State University in Tallahassee. In all, David Cook will headline thirty seven dates in a tour that promises to bring the same rock music and energy he is famous for.

When asked why he decided to embark on a college tour, this was his answer, "There's something inherently nostalgic about playing college shows. So many amazing acts used to do it, so it's nice to be able to bring that ideal back, in some small way." He further
added, "Besides, touring on a bus beats what we used to do, which was cram five guys into a 7 passenger van for one show, 13 hours away." Many artists have said the same thing about small college tours. They say the energy is different. However, some skeptics online have added that one reason why Cook is embarking on such a tour is the lackluster response to his solo career after Idol. His post-Idol debut album wasn't that hot either, reportedly selling a mere 892,000 copies since its launch in November 2008. Not what stardom observers are expecting.

NCIS season 6 episode 14: NCIS 6.14 / NCIS s06e14 Love & War

"Love & War" is the title of NCIS season 6 episode 14 / NCIS 6 14 this week. In this episode, the team from the Naval Criminal Investigation Service investigates the mysterious death of a sergeant whose private life yields more clues about his killing. Treason may have been the root cause of the killing. As always, the NCIS team leaves no stone unturned as they summon all their skills to get to the bottom of the murder. "My Cookie Pants" (Scrubs season 8 episode 6 / Scrubs 8 6) is the title of the secon part of the Scrubs double header for this week and, as always, it promises to be another riot as the crazy team of doctors and interns from Sacred Heart once again entertain us with their antics. For this episode, doctors JD Dorian and Elliot Reid try to rekindle their on-again, off-again romance while the position of Chief of Medicine is set to be filled in-house. How will JD and Elliot fare in their romance and what stumbling blocks lie ahead for the two of them. Surely, there will be hilarious scenarios in store for us in this romantic subplot. Meanwhile, Dr. Perry Cox is set to become the next Chief of Medicine after the

She invites Dixon and other students to her house party where Navid meets a fellow Iranian student by the name of Nika. 15th SAG Awards: 2009 SAG winners/SAG Awards winners 2009

Are you looking for the 15th SAG awards winners / 2009 SAG Awards winners? If you are, then you have come to the right place as this page will post the latest results of the 15th SAG Awards (Screen Actors Guild Awards) in Hollywood. However, the awards show is a few hours away and the results won't be at hand until then. Please check back for the results on this page as they will be posted here as soon as the 2009 SAG winners are announced. The list of nominees at the bottom of this page will be updated to reflect the results (winners' names will be highlighted).

Who will win this year's SAG Awards in the film category? Though the television categories are equally prestigious and exciting, everybody is eagerly awaiting the results of the movie categories more as the Oscars is less than four weeks away and voting will be starting in a few days. The results of the 2009 SAG Awards will be significant in the preference the other Academy members will make in the next few weeks.

It is also interesting to note how the recent controversy has affected the 2009 SAG Awards. Following the Oscar nominations announcement, the Academy was accused of snubbing WALL-E, The Dark Knight, Revolutionary Road, Doubt, and The Wrestler, five critically praised films that were considered contenders for nominations in the five major categories. It was also accused of snubbing Sally Hawkins, another critics favorite, for Best Actress and completely ignoring Clint Eastwood's Gran Torino.

Will Slumdog Millionaire continue its win streak this season, or will The Curious Case of Benjamin Button stop it in its track. We'll find out soon enough when the winners are unveiled.

Gossip Girl season 2 episode 17 / Gossip Girl 2.17 (s02e17 / 2 17)

More intrigues are in store for us in Gossip Girl season 2 episode 17 / Gossip Girl 2 17 when it unfolds soon. Entitled "Carnal Knowledge", the main plot of the episode involves Blair's plan to get even with her Shakespeare teacher, Rachel. Giving her her first B grade in her whole life is a very big deal for Queen B and she vowed Rachel won't get away with it. Will she succeed? Meanwhile, new Bass Industries honcho chuck wakes up in a hotel but cannot remember what happened the previous night, or with whom he spent it with. These and more will be revealed when Gossip Girl 2.17 / Gossip Girl s02e17 airs. But wait, Gossip Girl is taking a short break this season and won't be back until February
2, 2009. That's right, two weeks of no Gossip Girl will be glum! But what can we do but wait. What's worse, no preview video has yet been released for Gossip Girl season 2 episode 17 as of this writing! But I'm sure something will come out in the coming days. After Chuck (Ed Westwick) wakes up in a hotel and only has a minor recollection of what happened the previous evening and who he spent the evening with, Nate (Chace Crawford) and Vanessa (Jessica Szohr) try to help him fill in the missing pieces of what is turning out to be an increasingly intriguing mystery.
