Evgeni Plushenko PLATINUM Medal in Olympics 2010? (photos)

Has the Olympics upgraded their medals? Has the IOC started awarding platinum medals in figure skating? That's what a lot of surprised readers seem to be asking after a bizarre claim at Evgeni Plushenko's web site posted a photo of the Russian figure skater's "platinum" medal from the Vancouver Games. Yes, you read it right, a platinum medal. Didn't he just win silver a few days ago after placing second Evan Lysacek?

Looks like Evgeni Plushenko desperately needs a dose of reality here. Or has the frustration and disappointment
of losing the gold at the 2010 Olympics gone to his head? Clearly, the website correctly labeled his silver medal from the Salt Lake City Games, his gold from Torino four years ago. But when it came to his silver from Vancouver, it is labeled "Platinum of Vancouver"!

I don't know about you but I think this guy needs help! The loss to Evan Lysacek was too much for him. Help him, please.
