Corey Haim FUNERAL: mom seeks donations for funeral

The body of Corey Haim has been released by the Los Angeles Coroner's Office after the autopsy and initial findings suggest the actor had pulmonary congestion. Although the actor allegedly died of an accidental drug overdose, official findings cannot be determined until toxicology results have been released - that's a couple of weeks from now. His cause of death has not yet been determined but TMZ reports four medications, including painkiller Vicodin, prescribed to Haim were found in the property.

Corey Haim is now headed to Canada where the family intends to bury him. Although a memorial service is scheduled for the late actor, the funeral will be in his native Canada. Problem is, Corey was broke and his family doesn't have enough money for his funeral. His mother, stricken with cancer, has posted the following at the Corey Haim official website:

Moreover, it has been reported that family and friends have been going through his belongings trying to find something to sell on eBay to cover Corey Haim's funeral expenses.

If you want to donate to this cause, please visit the Corey Haim website for other details. Unscrupulous "fans" may take advantage of the situation to rip off well-meaning individuals who want to help with Corey Haim's funeral. Beware.
