Ryan Seacrest, Simon Cowell fight on American Idol (VIDEO)

The final round of the American Idol 2010 finals has begun with the performances of the Top 12 last night. Rolling Stones songs was the theme but Simon and company weren't that impressed with what they saw, and heard. But while it was the chance of the twelve hopefuls to shine, something else on American Idol grabbed the headlines.

Simon Cowell & Ryan Seacrest square off! There was a confrontation between Ryan Seacrest and Simon Cowell on Idol last night but many are asking, "Was that for real?
Or was it staged?" Ryan Seacrest and Simon Cowell have had many uncomfortable moment on American Idol before but this latest one was the best yet.

Here's how it happened: Simon, as always, began his critique of a performance negatively. This time, it was Mike Lynche, the first performer of the night. Ryan stepped in (as always) trying to parry Simon's negative comments. Before everybody knew it, Ryan was walking towards the judges' tables, suit unbuttoned and squarely looking at Simon in the eye and confronting him.
