It's season 2 of Pilipinas Got Talent and this early, fans are already betting on who will win this year. Marcelito Po Moy. In Pilipinas Got Talent's Saturday auditions, Marcelito Po Moy sang his heart out to cheers from the gallery and the judges.
Marcelito has this high-pitched voice that was totally unexpected. He spoke with his normal voice when interviewed by the judges before his performance.
But when he sang Narito Ako, that's when we first heard his high-pitched singing voice. Was it a falsetto? I'm not sure. But Marcelito reached the highest notes of the demanding song even many women could not sing.
Will Marcelito be the next winner of Pilipinas Got Talent? Maybe. But I doubt if he can sing other songs as well. His shrill voice may be good for a song like Narito Ako but for other songs, I doubt it.
Mara Clara is one of the most watched TV series in the Philippines right now. A tale of two girls, named Mara and Clara, from the opposite sides of the track, its a remake of the highly successful Mara Clara series from the 90s that made stars of Judy Ann Santos and Gladys Reyes. And the remake seems to be following in the original's footsteps. Ratings have been high, and the two lead stars have carved a niche for themselves in Philippine show business ever since the series started.
Now in the homestretch, a tragic episode was shown last week. Mara died. Is she really dead? We don't know yet, and chances are, she's not. That's how it is in Philippine teleseryes. The heroine supposedly dies but turns out to be alive in the end for a happy ending.
However, a particular young fan believes her idol really died in the story. And she was so affected that she couldn't help but cry, hysterically at that. How do we know all this? Her sister videotaped the young kid's reaction as she watched Mara die in the TV series, posted it on YouTube, and the rest is history.
Entitled "MARA CLARA REACTION: How mara clara affects my sister :))," the video has since gone viral.

Maria Aragon is the luckiest 10-year old in the world! The duet with Lady Gaga finally happened last night at the Toronto concert of Mama Monster. With the crowd shouting, crying and screaming, Maria Aragon was ushered onto the stage to Lady Gaga who hugged her tightly.

more divisiveness,” Lady Gaga said.

However, there are rumors that the McLobster is coming to a store near you. Is the McDonald's lobster sandwich going to be sold all over the United States?
Sorry to disappoint you but the answer is NO. The rumor was just that,
a rumor. McDonald's has officially denied they will sell lobster sandwich other than the branches selling it now. On their official Twitter page, McDonald's tweeted that “there are no plans to bring McLobster or McSushi to our U.S. menu.”
Frankly, even if the McLobster becomes available at all McDonald's branch, I won't get too excited. I'm allergic.

The overweight spokesman for Heart Attack Grill has died. However, Blair River DID NOT die of a heart attack. Friends say the 29-year old, 575-pound spokesman died "possibly from contracting pneumonia after a bout with the flu."
The Heart Attack Grill is a fast food hamburger restaurant in Arizona specializing in high-calorie menu items with controversial names. The
menu includes Single, Double, Triple, and Quadruple Bypass hamburgers, all-you-can-eat Flatliner Fries (cooked in pure lard), unfiltered cigarettes, beer and liquor, and soft drinks made with real sugar. Heart Attack Grill has been very popular since it opened.
The baby who laughed hysterically at ripping paper is now a star. Baby Micah McArthur, who laughed uncontrollably when his had ripped a job rejection letter, appeared on the Today Show this morning. However, he could not recreate that hysterical laugh that made him famous.
The YouTube video was posted by his dad after Baby Micah's hysterical laugh at home. Initially, the goal was just to show the video to the baby's mom. But
then, they posted it to YouTube, their first video on the site, and the rest is history. As of this writing, Baby Micah's laughing video has 5,867,303 hits.
Meanwhile, Matt Lauer tried to rip paper in front of the baby but he didn't laugh. He must have gotten tired of the paper ripping trick. Matt also tried the fake sneeze. Although it elicited a smile, still no laughs. Better luck next time, Matt.
Attention all Mazda 6 owners, especially those with spider phobia. A recall of 52,000 Mazda 6 cars is being undertaken because of spider infestation, particularly yellow sac spiders. Now why would cars be recalled because of spiders?
According to Mazda, it has issued a recall for 52,000 Mazda6 sedans due to potential obstruction in the evaporative canister vent line of certain 2009 and
2010 Mazda6 models. Apparently, the said vent line is the perfect home for a yellow sac spider. Mazda said it had identified 20 cases in which spider webs were found in the vents. If the web clogs the line, excessive negative pressure may build up in the vehicle's fuel tank, which is likely to eventually cause a crack in the tank itself which may lead to a fire.
The Mazda 6 recall is expected to begin on March 25 with dealers inspecting the vent lines and cleaning it, if necessary. A filter will also be installed to prevent yellow sac spiders from entering it again.
Fact: Javier Bardem and Josh Brolin kissed at the Oscars when presenting the screenplay awards. What kiss? It was the Oscars kiss that we, watching on television, did not see. Only those at the Kodak Theater witnessed it. Now, there are allegations that the kiss (on the lips) between Josh Brolin and Javier Bardem was censored.
Oscar producers have denied this. Bruce Cohen, one of the producers of the
event, said it wouldn't make sense to censor something that would have made a great TV moment. However, the dance and kiss were unscripted so the camera were not ready for it. As originally planned, right after the presenters' entrance, the cameras would show Penelope Cruz in the audience, and by the time the focus went back to Javier and Josh, the "great TV moment" was over.
"It (the dance and the kiss) was unscripted, and the plan in the (outside broadcast) truck was always to cut to Penelope in the audience applauding Josh's and Javier's introduction, so that is what happened, just as they were starting to dance."
"Josh and Javier's moment (I saw them start to dance, but, to be honest, I have no idea if they kissed - that's the first I've heard of that) would have made a great TV moment, but since no one knew it was coming, we cut to the gorgeous Ms. Cruz as planned. By the time we cut back from her close-up, Josh and Javier were walking to the podium."
